inline | How to Set Dining Time and Table Bussing Time?

If you would like to set or adjust the dining time for bookings, please refer to the following steps and modify on iPad :

1. Press Settings > Business Settings

2. Configure the duration for both Customer Dining Time and Table Bussing Time

Please Note: The Dining Time for each booking is based on the setting at the time the reservation is created. Therefore, any updates to the dining time will only apply to newly created reservations and will not affect existing ones. On the other hand, the Bussing Time will be applied to all reservations after it is updated.

You can view the dining duration for a booking in the left column of the List function.


Dining Time

If the dining time is set to a fixed time (e.g., 90 minutes or 120 minutes), customers can use the designated dining duration once they are seated. However, if the booking is close to the end of a business session, the actual dining time may be shortened. For example:

  • If the business hours are set to 11:00–15:00 and 17:00–21:00, and the dining duration is 90 minutes:
    • A customer with a booking at 11:00 can use the table until 12:30.
    • A customer with a booking at 14:00 (e.g., via phone reservation) can only use the table until 15:00, rather than the full 90 minutes.

If the dining time is set to unlimited, customers can use the table until the end of the business hours, regardless of their booking time. No table turnover will occur during the period. For example:

  • If the business hours are set to 11:00–20:00, with unlimited dining time:
    • A customer with a booking at 11:00 can use the table until 20:00.
    • A customer with a booking at 18:00 can also use the table until 20:00.
  • If the business hours are split into 11:00–15:00 and 17:00–21:00, with unlimited dining duration:
    • A customer with a booking at 11:00 can use the table until 15:00.
    • A customer with a booking at 17:00 can use the table until 21:00.

Bussing Time

  • If a bussing time is set, the total table holding time for each booking will be the sum of the dining time and the bussing time.
  • If the dining time is set to unlimited, the bussing time cannot be applied, since the booking will occupy the table until the end of the business hours.
