If you would like to stay updated in real time about new bookings, cancellations, or booking detail changes, inline provides two notification methods: Notification Center and Push Notifications on the iPad device. Notifications will be centrally displayed in the Notification Center, which could be view by clicking the bell icon at the bottom left of the App, and can also be displayed as real-time push notification on the iPad. It is recommended to complete the relevant settings in both the Backhouse and iPad inline App.
Backhouse Settings ( Determine which notifications appear in the Notification Center )
1. Log in to the inline Backhouse: https://myinline.com
2. Press Company Settings > Edit
3. Click Notification > Under Store/Branch Settings, expand the branch you would like to configure
4. In the Email section, select the types of notifications you would like to receive ( Booking created, Booking canceled, Booking updated, Add Booking Waitlist, etc. )
5. Scroll back to the top of the page and click Save
Once the setup is complete, when the system sends a notification, it will appear in the 🔔 Notification Center at the bottom-left corner of inline App.
iPad inline App Settings ( Determine which notifications appear as Push Notifications )
1. Press Settings > System Settings > Push notification options
2. Switch the toggle to orange to enabled the notification you want to be displayed as push notification on the iPad ( Booking Created, Booking canceled, etc. )
3. click < System Settings to save
Once the setup is complete, when the system sends a notification, it will appear on the screen as a real-time push notification pop-up.
Please Note:
- Push notifications will only pop up when the inline App is not running. If the App is currently open, notifications will appear in the Notification Center at the bottom left bell icon instead of displaying as pop-up push notifications.
- Push notifications are configured per device. If there are multiple iPads in the store, the notification feature must be enabled on each device individually to ensure that every device can receive the required reservation notifications in real time.
Apple iPad Settings ( System-Level Push Notification Permission Settings )
Push notifications depend on the iPad’s system settings to determine whether pop-up notification are shown. If you have completed the inline app settings but still not seeing the push notifications, please check whether push notification permissions are enabled in the iPad’s system settings.
