If you wish to check if a booking has been modified (such as changes to time, party size, contact info, or adding a deposit), you can use the Activity Log feature on the iPad App. This allows you to clearly view every change and its timestamp, helping to clarify on-site situations or trace the adjustment history.
1. Find the Booking: Open the inline iPad App, tap List on the left menu, or use the search function at the top to locate the booking.
2. Access Activity Log: Tap the booking, then tap the orange arrow icon on the left to enter the Activity Log.
3. Review the History: In the Activity Log, you can see the recorded operation history, including:
- Edits to booking date and time.
- Changes to party size, phone number, or customer name.
- Adjustments, additions, or removals of table numbers.
- Operator information (if configured) and the exact operation timestamp.
How to identify the source of changes:
- Edit Booking: Indicates a manual edit made by the restaurant staff.
- Customer Changed Booking: Indicates the customer modified the booking themselves via the inline web page.
- Third-party modifications: Will show Edit Booking along with the platform name. For example, Google-reserve indicates the change came from the Google Booking button.
Recommended Features
To gain a more complete understanding of booking sources and the context of each change, we recommend using the following features:
1.
Set Up User Accounts
If users are not set up on the iPad, the system will not be able to display the specific staff member who performed the changes. We recommend creating a unique account for each staff member to help track the source of all edits. 👉 Guide: How to add a new user?
2.
Enable Audio Recording
Once the audio recording feature is enabled, the system will automatically record the ambient sound around the iPad whenever a booking is created or edited. This can help reconstruct the on-site situation and the operation process. 👉 Guide:How to Set Up Voice Recording
